Creative Treats For Your Child's Birthday Party

Posted on

If your child is having a birthday party, there is a good chance that you want to make it as memorable as possible. One way to do this is to offer a truly spectacular treat selection. Birthday cake is quite common by this point. Here are some other unique treat options that you can consider.

1. Rent Frozen Yogurt or Soft Serve Ice Cream Machines

One option to consider is renting soft serve ice cream machines or frozen yogurt machines. If you go with frozen yogurt machines, you can get a wide variety of flavors that will blow the minds of the kids that your child invited to his or her birthday party. You can also help keep the party relatively healthy. If you go with soft serve, make sure that you get a machine that offers both chocolate and vanilla ice cream, as well as swirl.

In order to truly pull off this treat idea, just having the ice cream machines isn't enough. You need to make sure that you have all of the toppings that could go with the ice cream or frozen yogurt. Have mini candy-coated chocolates, chocolate chips, shaved coconut, sprinkles, whipped cream, caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, and peanut butter sauce. Also, consider investing in frozen yogurt color changing spoons that change color whenever they are exposed to cold temperatures. This will really impress your child's friends and help ensure that he or she has the best birthday possible.

2. Create a Cupcake Decorating Workshop

Another option is to take a variety of cupcakes and frost them ahead of time. Be sure that you offer cupcakes with all different colors of icing. Once you have the cupcakes frosted, you can have kids come over and choose from a variety of candy decals, sprinkles, and chocolate bits to decorate their cupcakes. Have a cupcake decorating contest where you take a picture of each child's creation and come up with a superlative for it, such as "most candy used," "most creative," or "most likely to be used in a secret spy mission." Keep things light and fun. This is a great way to keep your child's friends busy during the party, as well as incorporate the more traditional treat of cake at a birthday.

For more information, talk to a company that specializes in accessories for ice cream and yogurt, especially color changing spoons. These will work as great party favors.
